Terms
The terms, kept short
We're hunters writing for hunters, not lawyers writing for a jury. Here's the deal between us.
The app is a tool, you're the hunter
Parcel lines, public-land shading, wind, pressure, travel arrows and anything the AI writes are aids. They can be wrong or out of date. You are responsible for knowing where you are, whose land it is, what's legal, what's safe, and what's behind your target. Nothing in the app replaces a plat book, a conversation with the landowner, the regulations, or your own eyes.
Your stuff
Everything you put in the app is yours. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people you share it with, which is the only way the app can work. You can take it out any time.
Behave
Don't use the app to trespass, poach, harass other hunters or landowners, or do anything illegal. Don't try to break into it. Don't share a folder with someone and then use what they share against them. We'll close accounts that do any of this, without a refund, and we'll cooperate with the DNR or law enforcement if asked properly.
Beta means beta
It's free right now because it's early. Things will break, data could be lost, features will change. We back up the server and we'll do right by you, but don't make the app the only place a record lives that you can't afford to lose.
Money, later
When we charge, the price and what it covers will be on this site before you pay anything. No auto-upgrades, no surprise charges, no "introductory" rates that triple.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, HuntWhere is provided as-is and we aren't liable for what happens in the woods or for lost data. If a court says part of this page doesn't hold, the rest still does.
Michigan law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. If we end up disagreeing, we'd rather talk first.
